Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, Bill Puthoff, John Ranz, Chief Korte & Chief Cruse
- Chief Korte requested approval to allow Officer Roach to participate in the Hamilton County Police Association Color Guard. Committee agreed as long as it did not interfere with his regular duties.
- Chief Korte reviewed with the committee how he is going to wait the promotional process. 20% for each of the following hiring committee evaluation, seniority and past evaluations with 40% being the written examination. Committee supported his process and told him to proceed.
- Chief Korte advised there will be a replacement hire for Lt. Gollier on the March agenda. Hiring committee to interview 3 candidates next week prior to the meeting.
- Apparatus replacement schedule
- Chief Cruse presented an apparatus replacement schedule for all fire vehicles and information from the NFPA on equipment life. Discussion centered on the Tower 40 ladder truck and the grant Evendale has applied for as well as the NFPA recommendations. With the ladder truck being 26 years old and the advancement in safety the committee recommends we budget and purchase this apparatus in 2011.
- Discussion on the computer maintenance system program came up about getting things done in timely manner. Committee asked Mr. Lohmeier to find more out about the current arrangement. Several issues were discussed as not being addressed in an adequate time frame.
Motion to adjourn made by Mr. Ranz, seconded by Mr. Puthoff at 7:15 pm all in favor.
